Carley has contributed to education in many capacities across Melbourne and in the UK for over 15 years: as a classroom teacher, school leader, literacy coordinator and education consultant.
She is passionate about assisting schools and teachers implement best practice in their classrooms through the use of Reader’s workshop, the gradual release instructional model, independent reading, classroom libraries, conferring and differentiation through small group instruction.
As a consultant, Carley is able to assist teachers and school leaders with school-wide implementation of effective practices in Literacy to improve student learning outcomes.
Areas of expertise include delivering Professional Development, working collaboratively with administrators, staff and students, and providing support and coaching to deepen the understanding and implementation of best practices within the classroom.
