Judy is an experienced educator who has worked in schools from primary to Year 12 as a literacy coach, literacy coordinator, Head of English, Teaching and Learning Leading Teacher and as a Teaching Fellow for Melbourne University’s Masters of Teaching (Secondary). She has worked with schools in the implementation of their strategic plans and leads multiple PLTs, as well as being an instructional coach with individual teachers.
Judy has provided professional development in varied contexts, including literacy strategies, instructional models, learning intentions and success criteria, effective feedback, reading and writing workshops, curriculum development, working with integration aides and analysing data to inform practice. She is highly experienced in implementing effective classroom observations, working with teachers, pre-service teachers and schools in improving observation practices and planning next steps in literacy improvement.
