Kath is an experienced educator who has worked in schools from years 7 to 12 as an instructional coach and teacher leader.
Kath’s expertise in literacy is in implementing reading and writing workshops. She is experienced in leading teachers in independent reading, conferring, the writing process and Writers’ Notebooks. Kath’s passion lies in collaboratively creating a curriculum design and assessment schedule to successfully embed evidence-based literacy practices.
With extensive knowledge of senior English curriculum, Kath is experienced in leading teachers in improving VCE outcomes through the explicit instruction of literacy skills, targeted feedback approaches and facilitation of meaningful moderation processes.
As a teacher leader, Kath’s strengths also include leading professional development in analysing data to inform practice, formative assessment and feedback. She will work at a school wide, team and individual level to support teachers to improve student learning outcomes.
