Lauren is an award-winning educator with a wealth of leadership experience in Melbourne secondary schools, including as a Literacy Learning Specialist, and Leading Teacher for Whole-School Curriculum. At the chalk-face and in the staff room, Lauren demonstrates her passion for improving student outcomes through evidence-based practice. She has worked extensively with individuals and teams to create significant pedagogical change, particularly in the field of literacy. Her impact can range from the co-construction of a school’s AIP foci, to providing coaching in response to a teacher’s literacy PDP goal.
Lauren is also a highly-regarded presenter across several learning networks. She enjoys delivering engaging and practical professional development sessions to educators. One of her greatest interests is presenting workshops on transposable literacy skills (e.g. teaching vocabulary, critical literacy, or quality questioning skills across Domains), however she would relish the challenge of tailoring content to the professional learning needs of any school.
