Shelley Bertolini

Shelley is an experienced educator and consultant with over a decade of leading teacher practice to improve student outcomes in Literacy. She is passionate about supporting teachers to reflect, refine and review their literacy practices to achieve desired student outcomes. Shelley has a wealth of experience in using data to inform planning and differentiation. Shelley supports teachers to implement a literacy program using the Victorian Department of Education & Training HITS and the Gradual Release Model. She is able to guide schools and teachers about when to use phonics, phonological awareness and comprehension strategies to achieve outcomes.

Shelley is passionate about aligning student data, differentiation and targeted goal setting when planning units of study and weekly lessons. She is enthusiastic about developing consistency from grade level to grade level and developing school wide documentation to support this. Shelley hopes to empower and engage teachers and students to enjoy literacy and gain confidence with literacy learning.
