Dr Gary Stager
Dr Gary Stager is an internationally renowned educator, speaker, and consultant who has spent over 35 years helping teachers and schools create more authentic and creative learning experiences for their students. He is the co-author of the best-selling book Invent To Learn: Making, Tinkering, and Engineering in the Classroom, which has been translated into nine languages and called “the bible of the maker movement in schools”. He is also the founder and CEO of Constructing Modern Knowledge, an annual summer institute where educators learn by engaging in cutting-edge projects with world-class experts. Dr Stager has worked with educators in over 40 countries across six continents, and has been a keynote speaker at many prestigious conferences and events. He is a passionate advocate for student agency, teacher empowerment, and progressive education. Dr Stager has collaborated with some of the most influential thinkers and innovators in education, such as Seymour Papert, Alfie Kohn, Deborah Meier, and Reggio Emilia. He has also won several awards and honors for his work, including being entered into the EdTech Time Capsule as one of the top 25 people who transformed education through technology. Dr Stager’s motto is “Less Us, More Them”, which reflects his belief that students are capable of remarkable things when given the opportunity to pursue their own interests and passions.
