Partnering with schoolED this course has been designed by Whole School Partners and will contribute 5 hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 3.4.2, 4.5.2, 6.3.2 and 7.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW and has also been approved by Victorian Institute of Teaching, Victoria.During this five hour professional development course teachers will;
Module 1 – eSafety and ICT ethical behaviours The course will provide participants opportunities to review models of best practice that address 21st century skills and unpack eSafety frameworks that support students to be empowered digital citizens. Participants will be supported to review current online user policy and move the vision forward within their school and develop appropriate, sustainable online communities across school stakeholder groups. The module will address online issues in relation to curriculum programs including copyright, cyberbullying, privacy and acceptable usage guided by current policies to address these issues.
Module 2 – Effective use of ICT tools in the classroom. Develop an understanding of digital technologies and new pedagogical approaches to enhance learning and teaching practice. Reflect on current media used by students and its appropriateness for learning and communicating.
Module 3 – Using effective Information and Communication Technologies to build and maintain communities of practice. This module will identify blended learning opportunities to make global connections that will extend participants professional learning networks.
