A Refreshing Perspective on Education

The Helsinki & Stockholm Study Tour was an incredibly valuable and energising experience. Visiting schools in Finland and Sweden provided genuine insight into the values, structures and practices that underpin one of the world’s most respected approaches to education.

The opportunity to engage in deep conversations with educators, consultants and school leaders added immense value to the experience. The professional dialogue and exchange of ideas challenged my thinking, sparked new perspectives, and strengthened my understanding of what purposeful, student-centred education can look like in practice.

The tour also struck a great balance between professional learning and cultural exploration. Experiencing the cities, local traditions, food, architecture, and history added richness to the experience and offered valuable context to the education systems we were learning about. The combination of school visits and cultural immersion made it an engaging, well-rounded tour that left a lasting impact.

This tour has sparked fresh thinking and affirmed the importance of purposeful, student-centred approaches. I’d recommend it to any educator looking to reimagine what’s possible in schools.
