schoolED psychological hazards support

Our consultants can help you to:

  • Update your risk register to include the required three hazards: workplace bullying, occupational violence, and student challenging behaviour.
  • Identify factors that contribute to a mentally unsafe working environment.
  • Assess the level of risk associated with these factors.
  • Identify strategies to eliminate or reduce the level of risk associated with work-related risk factors that may cause a mental health injury.
  • Identify strategies to promote psychological safety and good employee mental health.
  • Provide relevant and appropriate information and training to employees to address their mental health and wellbeing.

Using an evidence-based survey to assess your wellbeing in both work and life, together we will set personalised wellbeing goals and identify practical steps you can take to both keep your wellbeing or track and to improve it. When work and life get busy, it is easy for our wellbeing to drop off our radar, or to fall to the bottom of our list of priorities. But this is a fast road to stress and burnout! The sustainED program creates the time in your calendar for regular check-ins on your wellbeing so that you can make sure you are constantly filling up your tank. We will have regular one-on-one conversations to reflect, review your progress and make changes as needed.

You will also have the opportunity to come to a group workshop with other participants to share ideas, challenges and experiences.

This program aims to empower school staff with the knowledge and tools necessary to maintain their mental wellbeing, both during the school year and beyond.

Our sustainED school staff mental wellbeing program is designed to equip school staff with the essential knowledge and resources to sustain their mental wellbeing throughout the school year and into the future. Through participation, staff will acquire practical strategies that can be seamlessly incorporated into their everyday routines, helping to create a more supportive and resilient school environment.

Did you know that, under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, school principals are required to identify hazards to employee mental wellbeing and take steps to maintain a work environment that is safe and without risk to psychological health?
